Set within the dunes of Budle Bay sands in Northumberland, this cosy holiday cottage is full of character for up to 4 guests. With access to a privately-owned beach just a stone’s throw away, and with views stretching across Budle Bay to Holy Island this is the place to stay if you’re looking for breathtaking views of the sunrise.

This holiday cottage forms part of our Heather House collection, which is situated just above Budle Bay, which offers easy access to an abundance of brilliant activities from walking, cycling and exploring nature and castles along the Northumberland coastline.

Downstairs in Plover Cottage, there is a well-equipped kitchen which leads into an open-plan living room and dining area. The spacious living room offers ample comfortable seating as well as a multi-fuel stove for cosy nights in. The bathroom is complete with a shower over the bath, a WC and a hand basin.

On the first floor you’ll find a twin and a double bedroom with wardrobes and storage drawers.

Outside, there is access to a shared, enclosed garden area with patio furniture which provides the ideal surroundings to enjoy the views, as well as a private decked area. All guests also have access to our private beach.

Please note that the staircase in this cottage is narrow as its a fisherman’s cottage

Bamburgh is situated just over a mile away from Budle Bay, and has a host of good places to eat and drink, as well as its own wonderful beach with the famous castle that imposes itself over the village.

3 miles away in the village of Lucker, you will find an award-winning gastropub, The Apple Inn, a traditional country pub serving great food and ales, as well as breakfast with all ingredients sourced locally.

Lucker is only 2 miles from the A1, which makes visiting landmarks and exploring Northumberland and its wonderful coastline easy.
