About Oak Cottage
2 Bed Cottage in Southside, Lucker, Northumberland
Oak Cottage is one of four cottages in the Southside Farm steading which have been converted from an original farm dwelling. The Cottage benefits from being situated in a rural location on the edge of the beautiful Northumberland village of Lucker, less than a 5-minute walk to the centre of the village, where you will find the award-winning Apple Inn Pub and the award-winning Beau monde Salon & Spa, which is just a further 2-minute walk from the centre of the village.
The holiday cottage provides two bedrooms and one junior suite, all with en-suite facilities. The accommodation is mainly on the ground floor, with an open-plan lounge, a separate dining area, and a separate kitchen. There are stunning views to the rear, where a decking area connects directly to the dining room, allowing guests to easily access the outside space. For those who are looking for additional luxury, Oak Cottage also offers a fixed hot tub with the booking.
Oak Cottage has been modelled on our very successful Pippin and Crispin holiday cottages which are located in the centre of the village of Lucker.
For those seeking more guest accommodation within Oak Cottage, the sofa in the lounge area can be converted to a bed for children. The lounge area can also be separated from the upstairs bedroom, as it has its own double doors to create further privacy.

Bed configuration:
- Bedroom 1: Superking size bed (6ft) This bed can be split into 2 Single beds (3ft)
- Bedroom 2: 2 single beds (3ft) This room can be made into a superking size bed (6ft)
- A sofa bed is also available for an additional charge.
Please note: If you would like to change the bed configuration please give us at least 72 hour’s notice. There will be no charge.
If you would like the bed configuration changed on the day of your arrival, you will incur a £40 charge per bed & this subject to availability of our housekeeping team.
Oak Cottage is located in a rural position on the edge of the village of Lucker, which is a 5-minute walk from the cottage. In the village, you will find an award-winning gastropub, The Apple Inn, a traditional country pub serving great food and ales, as well as breakfast with all ingredients sourced locally.
Lucker is only 2 miles from the A1, which makes visiting landmarks and exploring Northumberland and its wonderful coastline easy.
The cottage is just 3 miles from Bamburgh, which has a host of great places to eat and drink, its own stunning beach and the famous castle that sits proudly over the village.

Payment and deposit information
- A 30% deposit is payable at the time of booking. Receipt of any deposit shall not constitute acceptance of any booking until confirmation has been sent. All payment, unless otherwise specified, shall be made payable to “Stablewood Leisure Limited” and sent to the address on the booking acknowledgement.
- The balance of the booking is due 8 weeks before the arrival date.

There is an additional cost to bring dogs with you as follows:
